I'm excited to announce that I'm now a Food Ambassador for east Bristol’s Lawrence Hill Food Forum.
This is super exciting for me because community work has always been a key part of my business plan. (You may already be aware of my midlife drop-ins at the Easton Community Centre, first Monday of the month).
One of my business values is: I welcome everyone equally and do my best to ensure that everyone has access to my services.
Acutely aware that my one-to-one consultations are not affordable for many people, I’ve always been committed to finding a way that I can reach a wider group of people.
Knowledge about nutrition should be available to everyday people, not just those who can afford to pay for it.
The Lawrence Hill Food Forum is supporting me to run local food and nutrition events. The first event will be around women's health in midlife.
The Lawrence Hill Food Forum is a council-funded project hosted by three local organisations: Wellspring Settlement, Eastside Community Trust and Barton Hill Activity Club.
Selected by a panel of local people and organisations in and around Lawrence Hill, I, along with two other Food Ambassadors, help people in the local community to access food and nutrition knowledge.
