Client stories
Here's what some of my clients have to say
Emma, 51
I loved her approach of “adding not taking away” so there were no “banned” foods, just an increased focus on better balance in my diet
I started working with Rebecca as I was feeling increasingly hopeless with weight gain and trying to fight my way through peri-menopause. I’d seen that she had run some sessions around peri-menopause and thought it was worth a consultation.

Rebecca was instantly approachable and empathetic, listening to my story and breaking down her assessment of what could be going on in a clear and understandable way, backed up by the science behind her thinking. I loved her approach of “adding not taking away” so there were no “banned” foods, just an increased focus on better balance in my diet.

I felt better within the first 4 weeks - able to eat foods I’d previously struggled to digest as I focused on improving my gut health and biomes. Rebecca’s recommendations were easy to accommodate and she was supportive if something didn’t work for me, we just moved forwards rather than try to force it.

I’ve enjoyed learning about lifestyle and nutrition changes that are specific to me and will continue working with Rebecca to improve my understanding of this life stage for me and bring better balance to my overall well-being.

I really loved the science behind it as it really helped me understand my body, gut health and my hormones in a way I hadn't thought of before
I approached Rebecca after speaking with a friend about how low energy and mood I was. I have a stressful job and felt I was just falling from one day to the next. I'd put on weight and found myself moving less and less with no will to make a change.
Rebecca was very supportive and non judgemental from the start, we completed a thorough assessment and instantly started to think about easy practical things I could try. I really loved the science behind it as it really helped me understand my body, gut health and my hormones in a way I hadn't thought of before. She sent me ideas and worked with my barriers (being busy).
She reinforced the idea of giving your body what it really needs and didn't put pressure on me to reduce anything. In a way that's just happened naturally because I know how much better I feel depending on the choices I make.

Rebecca is obviously passionate and knowledgeable and would highly recommend getting in touch with her.

The knowledge Rebecca has given me has offered real hope for lessening the severity and frequency of the headaches I have suffered for over 40 years
Rebecca has been a wonderful ally in my efforts to tackle migraines and headaches that have dogged me all my life but have become especially common in the last 10 years – as much as every other day in some months, or for several days in a row.

Rebecca is thorough, patient (I like to talk and am never far from a tangent), knowledgeable and clearly loves what she does. I enjoyed discussing the subject with her as much as exploring solutions. And if I raised something I’d read that she wasn’t very familiar with, she would always go and research it with an expert’s eye so I could discern if it was internet twaddle or something worth pursuing.

Despite a background in the health industry myself and much research into migraines over the years, working with Rebecca opened up a host of options I had no idea about, beyond the usual suspects such as cutting down caffeine and looking for trigger foods. Have you heard of palmitoylethanolamide? I hadn’t either.

She also pointed me to a great migraine tracker, which has given me a much better record of when and why I get migraines, rather than the Excel print-out that I would often forget to fill in. And she has given me some hope when I was running out.

Has it worked? I have had only two very mild headaches in the last month – almost unheard of. I know it’s not all down to changes I have made, and I am still in the process of trialling some of the advice Rebecca gave me. It’s going to take time to know what has or will help in the long run.

Migraines are very complex, with so many inter-related triggers and symptoms that it is very hard to untangle them. Science still finds them something of a mystery – if they weren’t, we’d have much better treatments and prevention strategies.

But Rebecca has given me a much better knowledge, some things to add to the toolbox I can employ to prevent and minimise migraines, and she has helped me rule out some potential causes so I don’t have to give up certain foods that I really enjoyed – I’d take that alone!

It’s an ongoing process. For me, probably for life. But Rebecca has been an invaluable part of this – thanks for all the help and discussions, Rebecca!
